Overview

Type of position: Regular

Your future role on our team
Join BBA and put your expertise to work by advising internal clients and making a meaningful contribution to the firm's business objectives. You’ll support daily operations and participate in the strategic implementation of HR programs, projects, employee relations, total rewards and performance management. You’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and be in the heart of the action, working closely with professionals across our human resources team.

An overview of your mandates and responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Understand the goals and challenges of your assigned clients (disciplines) to play a key role in delivering their operational plans and helping develop HR initiatives to support their strategic plan
  • Translate business challenges of assigned disciplines into concrete, measurable HR actions. Help design structured processes and implement activities for talent attraction, retention, engagement, development and succession planning
  • Promote HR best practices across the firm while supporting HR programs and processes
  • Work with assigned clients to identify business challenges that require HR solutions and propose innovative business solutions
  • Oversee the implementation of HR initiatives in your disciplines in collaboration with managers
  • Train, coach and advise clients in areas such as HR challenges and best practices, employee relations, succession planning, employee engagement, integration and retention, compensation and mobility
  • Support managers in managing personnel and help strengthen their leadership skills
  • Address complex problems by recommending proactive approaches and practical solutions to management issues within their disciplines
  • Work with HRBPs, managers and employees to properly understand and assess needs and challenges tied to improving the employee life cycle.

Certifications and job requirements
  • University degree in human resource management, business administration or industrial relations combined with 10+ years of experience
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CRHA or CHRP)
  • Work experience in engineering, technical or consulting in a professional setting
  • Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally.
  • Advanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Québec. The frequency of French use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, particularly with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to establish a quality-oriented partnership and work as a team member
  • Available to travel to each of BBA\'s Greater Montréal offices
  • Experience designing, developing and implementing HR business solutions for a wide range of clients and ability to achieve business goals by proposing new approaches, policies and procedures to foster continuous improvement and HR development
  • Ability to evolve in a dynamic results-based matrix environment
  • Ability to adopt a client-based approach and to tactfully manage sensitive situations
