Job Description

We are seeking a HSE & Hygiene Supervisor to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and wellbeing of both guests and team members.

This dual role is critical to maintaining operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a welcoming, safe environment across the property.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
  • Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and compliance programs across all departments.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and hazard identification.
  • Ensure adherence to local health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company standards.
  • Lead incident investigations, maintain logs, and report findings with recommendations for corrective action.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and staff training on safety protocols.
Hygiene & Cleanliness Oversight
  • Supervise hygiene and cleaning operations across guest rooms, public areas, F&B, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with HACCP and company hygiene standards.
  • Train, guide, and mentor hygiene staff to maintain consistent service quality and cleanliness benchmarks.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and hygiene equipment, ensuring proper storage and usage.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
  • Work closely with Housekeeping, Culinary, Engineering, Front Office, and Operations teams to ensure safe and hygienic practices are consistently followed.
  • Provide guidance on safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support special events, peak periods, or property openings to maintain readiness and operational excellence.
Environmental & Sustainability Initiatives
  • Promote environmentally responsible practices across hygiene and safety operations.
  • Monitor waste management, chemical handling, and energy efficiency in line with sustainability policies.
  • Raise awareness among staff of safe and sustainable practices.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in HSE, hygiene, housekeeping, or supervisory roles within hospitality or resorts.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (HACCP, UAE regulations).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to conduct inspections, audits, and staff training programs.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to operational excellence.
  • Certifications in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) preferred.
