About The Role

Based at our CNRL Horizon project site and reporting to the Senior Regional HSE Manager, the HSE Professional 2 is responsible for HSE management on a project, with potential support across multiple projects. This role involves monthly and weekly reporting, supporting daily operations in HSE management systems, and leading safety indicators reporting to senior management.

This is a 7/7 fly-in, fly-out position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take responsibility for your own health, safety, and environmental protection, as well as that of your team, the public, and visitors.
  • Support project managers, superintendents, and regional HSE managers in communicating the HSE management system to operational personnel.
  • Ensure all incidents are properly documented in Graham's Incident Management software.
  • Assist in facilitating and completing hazard risk assessments (GRAs).
  • Compile and analyze HSE data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review site-specific requirements and safety plans like the PSSP.
  • Contribute to incident investigations and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
  • Report on the effectiveness of the HSE management system to regional managers.
  • Hold team members accountable for HSE performance.
  • Coordinate with inspectors and ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Communicate emergency procedures and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
Qualifications / Experience:
  • High school diploma; college or technical training preferred.
  • Health and safety certification or designation is an asset.
  • Clear criminal background check and pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
  • 3-5 years of experience in safety or related fields.
  • Understanding of HSE management systems and WCB processes.
  • Strong safety terminology knowledge and effective communication skills.
  • Understanding of general constructability principles.
