Job summary

City of North Bay is seeking a Human Resources Representative for a 1-year term in Corporate Services. You will support records management, recruitment, training, labour relations, health and safety, and total compensation with guidance from experienced team members.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, process improvements, and effective communication to influence outcomes. Office-based schedule, with occasional extended hours for events.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Certificate and/or Diploma in a Business Administration Program with a focus in Human Resources.
• Six (6) months’ relevant experience in an administrative or office environment; HR experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of HR programs and administration to support corporate initiatives and provide project assistance.
• Knowledge of HR-related legislation including statutory acts in Ontario.
• Familiarity with HR information systems/databases and reporting.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and presentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Records Management, Recruitment, Training and Development, Labour and Employee Relations, Health and Safety, and Total Compensation.
• Support data gathering and reporting for HR-related initiatives.
• Coordinate meetings and prepare correspondence and presentations.
