Job summary

The Corporation of the City of North Bay is seeking an enthusiastic Human Resources Representative to join a supportive team on a temporary one-year term, with possible extension.

You will assist in Records Management, Recruitment, Training and Development, Labour and Employee Relations, Health and Safety, and Total Compensation while developing practical HR skills in a positive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Certificate and/or Diploma in Business Administration with a focus in Human Resources.
• Experience in an administrative or office environment is an asset.

Requirements&Qualifications:

• Post-SecondaryCertificateand/orDiplomainaBusinessAdministrationProgramwithafocusinHumanResources
• Six(6)months’relevantexperienceworkinginanadministrativeorofficeenvironment;HumanResourcesexperienceconsideredanasset.
• KnowledgeofHumanResourcesprogramsandadministrationtosupportcoordinationofcorporateinitiativesandprovideprojectassistance
• Knowledgeofrelevantlegislativeframeworkincludingbutnotlimitedto,EmploymentStandardsAct,OccupationalHealthandSafetyAct,OntarioHumanRightsCode,AccessibilityforOntarianswithDisabilitiesAct,theMunicipalAct
• KnowledgeofHRinformationsystemsanddatabasestoaccessdata,gatherappropriateinformationforspecificHR-relatedpurposesandtopreparereports
• Proficiencywithcommonofficeproductivitysoftware,suchasMicrosoftWord,Excel,Outlookaswellasotherpresentationanddatabaseapplicationstopreparecorrespondence,reportsandpresentations,andcoordinatemeetings
• Abilitytoresearchinitiativesandpreparereportsandrecommendations
