Holt Renfrew is seeking a Specialist, HR Operations & Systems for a 9-month contract in Toronto. You will maintain employee data in the HRIS, manage HR systems, and partner with Payroll, Audit, and Privacy to support People Team initiatives with confidentiality.

You will configure HRIS, manage HR Connect (Jira), create reports, and develop training resources. Strong communication, leadership, and a client-service mindset are essential, along with a passion for fashion and luxury retail.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years of HRIS system experience (Workday experience preferred).
• Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset.
• Experience with issue-ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow, etc.).
• Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to get things done.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player who can be both a leader and an individual contributor.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers through workflow management and process advancement to meet business needs.
• Direct delivery of process updates and changes to HRBPs and designated client groups; plan for cyclical and long-term business needs.
• Support HRIS and coordinate configuration changes; testing and delivery across the Holt system.
• Manage and support the HR Connect tool (Jira) including training, dashboards, and system updates.
• Triage incoming requests, assign responsibilities and resources as required.
• Ensure data accuracy according to governance framework; perform data audits and modifications.
• Produce company-wide and ad hoc reports, contribute to executive dashboards and external reporting.
• Perform HRIS testing and training; create resources and training tools for employees.
• Identify opportunity areas to improve processes and maintain up-to-date procedural documentation.
• Respond to audit requests; collaborate with Internal Audit and implement changes.
