Hickman Chrysler & Nissan in St. John’s, Clarenville, or Gander, NL, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The role provides comprehensive HR support, ensuring processes are delivered accurately and efficiently across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have post-secondary HR education and 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with strong communication and confidentiality. A prospective CPHR is an asset, and familiarity with HRIS and payroll is important.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in HR, Business Admin, or related discipline.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• HR Administration & Employee Lifecycle support across offices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and HRIS information.
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies and employment practices.
• Assist leaders with employee development plans and performance management.
• Coordinate hiring and onboarding processes.
• Support compensation, benefits, and payroll administration.
• Contribute to Health, Safety & workplace culture programs.
• Build relationships with managers and leadership teams to align HR with operational priorities.
