Job summary

One Kids Place is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support recruitment, relations, compensation, and compliance within a family-centered care environment in Nipissing. The role covers a wide range of HR functions, including policy development and labour relations, to support staff in a non-unionized setting.

The successful candidate will bring a Degree in HR, CHRP/CHRL designation, and at least five years of HR experience, with strong knowledge of Ontario employment law and the ability to

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• CHRP or CHRL designation is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a unionized environment.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and labour relations.
• Experience in recruitment, employee relations, attendance management, compensation and benefits, and health and safety.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, labour relations, and collective agreement administration.
• Administer compensation, benefits, HR programs, and employee records.
• Support performance management, training, and professional development.
• Coordinate attendance management, accommodations, and return-to-work processes.
• Promote workplace health and safety and co-chair related committees.
• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance.
• Support HRIS systems, workforce planning, and organizational development.
• Oversee the Joint Volunteer Program and collaborate with community partners.
