Job summary

Altis Technology in Woodbridge, ON is seeking an HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia on a hybrid schedule with ~2 days on-site.

You will work with an HR Manager, handling day-to-day HR tasks while contributing to health and safety initiatives, policies, and workforce planning for ~100 employees. Fluency in English and French is essential, with a background in Quebec requirements and industrial environments.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on HR experience in a similar role.
  • Fluent in English and French, written and spoken.
  • Experience supporting Quebec employment requirements.
  • Health and safety administration experience helpful.
  • Background in distribution/industrial environments is a plus.
  • Post-secondary HR education and knowledge of Canadian employment standards.

Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for employees and managers on HR questions.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, documentation, and HRIS updates.
  • Support health and safety administration with leaders to reduce injuries.
  • Maintain confidential employee data and assist with leaves and benefits.
  • Contribute to HR projects on policies, processes, and programs.
  • Support employees across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia.

About the Opportunity

Are you an HR professional ready to take the next step into a Generalist role? This permanent opportunity with a growing organization in the service and distribution sector offers the chance to work closely with an experienced HR Manager while building hands‑on experience across the full employee lifecycle.

Supporting approximately 100 employees across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia, youll become a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers. Youll balance day‑to‑day HR administration with meaningful involvement in projects related to health and safety, employee programs, policies, workforce planning and process improvements.

Your Responsibilities
  • Youll act as a first point of contact for employees, responding to day‑to‑day HR questions and providing timely support.
  • Youll coordinate recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, HRIS updates and other employee lifecycle activities.
  • Youll support health and safety administration, working with operational leaders to coordinate requirements and help reduce workplace injuries.
  • Youll maintain accurate and confidential employee information while supporting benefits, leaves and employment‑related changes.
  • Youll contribute to HR projects involving policies, processes, employee programs and workforce initiatives.
  • Youll support employees and managers across multiple Canadian provinces, including Quebec.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands‑on Human Resources experience, ideally as an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, HR Representative or junior HR Generalist.
  • Professional fluency in both English and French, written and spoken.
  • Practical HR experience supporting employees in Quebec and familiarity with Quebec employment requirements.
  • Previous health and safety administration or coordination experience.
  • Experience working in a distribution, manufacturing, warehouse, field service or similar industrial environment.
  • Post‑secondary education in Human Resources and strong knowledge of Canadian employment standards and HR practices.
  • Strong organization, communication and judgment, with the ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
