Working under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager and Director, Equity and Belonging, the HR Assistant will support the proactive, effective and fast-paced operations of the HR and EDI departments at Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS). The HR Assistant will provide administrative support in all HR and EDI functional areas including administration, HRIS, onboarding, data management, recruitment, equity & belonging and event planning. The HR Assistant will also be responsible for the effective provision of human resource services to managers and employees and the effective maintenance of the HRIS and reports.

$40,000 - $48,000 commensurate with experience and aligned with internal equity.
This is a hybrid position, with the option to work remotely twice a week. The hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Successful candidates must supply Canada’s National Ballet School with a Police Reference Check in accordance with the School’s Child Abuse/Sexual Abuse Prevention Policy; this will be coordinated through the Human Resources Department at NBS.
Please note: This role is for an existing vacancy, however, NBS will be closed for its annual holiday break on December 24, 2025 – January 2,2026. Applications submitted during this time will be reviewed starting on January 5, 2026.
