Job summary

Gold Group Limited is urgently recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor for a large facilities management organisation based in Halifax. You will lead a mechanical bias team and ensure safe, compliant operations within the hospital environment.

The role requires NVQ Level 3, experience supervising maintenance staff, and a proactive approach to plant inspections, safety compliance, and contract deliverables under the PFI framework. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Mechanical bias (HVAC, Plumbing, Gas) with NVQ Level 3.
• Authorised Person designation held or willing to take on.
• Previous supervisory or team-leader experience.
• Healthcare or PFI knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compliant hospital environment while supporting estates teams.
• Lead and manage maintenance technicians to meet standards and timelines.
• Oversee plant inspections, servicing, and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with health and safety rules and hospital contracts.
• Coordinate with hospital staff to prioritise tasks and minimise disruption.
• Oversee budget and resource use while maintaining quality service.
