Gold Group Limited is urgently recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor for a large facilities management organisation based in Halifax. You will lead a mechanical bias team and ensure safe, compliant operations within the hospital environment.

The role requires NVQ Level 3, experience supervising maintenance staff, and a proactive approach to plant inspections, safety compliance, and contract deliverables under the PFI framework. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Mechanical bias (HVAC, Plumbing, Gas) with NVQ Level 3.
• Authorised Person designation held or willing to take on.

Mechanical Supervisor needed for a large well known Facilities Management organisation based in Halifax who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mechanical Supervisor that takes pride in their work.

The successful candidate will need to have a mechanical bias (HVAC, Plumbing, Gas etc) trained to a minimum NVQ Level 3.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Mechanical Supervisor will include:

• Deliver a safe, happy & compliant hospital environment to provide the best possible patient experience. Being mechanically bias providing support to the estates team & working with the senior site bases
• Supervision of Maintenance Staff: Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring tasks are completed to the required standards and timelines.
• Plant Inspections and Repairs: Oversee the routine inspection, servicing, and repair of plant to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations, hospital policies, and PFI contract requirements.
• Contractual Deliverables: Ensure that maintenance works are carried out according to the terms of the PFI contract, including response times and performance standards.
• Coordination with Hospital Staff: Liaise with hospital management and clinical teams to prioritize maintenance work and minimize disruption to hospital services.
• Budget and Resource Management: Oversee the use of materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality service.

What experience you need to be the successful Mechanical Supervisor:

• Having a Mechanical bias (HVAC, Plumbing, Gas etc) trained to a minimum NVQ Level 3.
• Authorised Person position previously held or willing to take on roles.
• Previously held a supervisory or team leader role.
• A background in Healthcare or PFI would be advantageous
