Qualifications

Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples

Roster: 7DN14R FIFO ex Perth

We are looking for an enthusiastic High Voltage Electrician to join our rapidly growing Electrical team, assisting with carrying out the safe execution of scheduled maintenance and repair of Electric Drive Haul and Loading mining Equipment, supporting Fortescue's mining operations.

You will also be responsible for attending in pit breakdown inspections and repairs on Electric Drive Haul and Loading equipment, with particular focus on Electrical compliance, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance, Diagnostics, and fault finding on High Voltage Heavy Mobile Equipment
  • Identify resources and tooling/parts required
  • Repair failed components as required
  • Workshop and field duties
  • Ensure all maintenance works are carried out safely and efficiently in line with company procedures
  • Ensure the SAP/FMG work management process is followed, ensuring accurate, efficient, and effective information is entered into SAP, including Notifications, work orders, and time confirmations.
  • Attend and actively participate in toolbox & safety meetings, fostering a safe work culture.
  • Accountable for ensuring the statutory recording of HV electrical installations and other electrical work in the electrical logbook as required.
  • Ensuring that all electrical high voltage maintenance activities are undertaken in a safe and coordinated manner, in compliance with site standards and procedures and the relevant Australian Standards and WA Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations, making sure that all work is conducted to a high standard.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Western Australian A Grade Electrical License
  • Valid C class manual Driver’s license
  • Current First Aid, CPR and LVR certificate (Within 12 months)
  • Current High Voltage Switching Operations certificate (within 4 years)
  • Previous High Voltage Switching experience highly advantageous
  • High level of safety awareness and orientation
  • Heavy Mobile Equipment experience is essential
  • Experience with OEM diagnostic tooling highly advantageous
  • Experience using SAP and a suite of Microsoft programs and applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
