Qualifications

• Must be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician HET with Red Seal – Off Road.
• Between five (5) and ten (10) years' Journeyperson experience required.
• Experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. or Komatsu is needed.

• Perform maintenance, repair, and testing of mechanical equipment.

Overview

Working Field Foreman/ Dispatcher– Off Road HET (Journeyperson)

Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Schedule: 10+ Hours per day (day shift), 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Location: Shop: 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB

Requirements:

• Full Complement of Hand Tools
• Personal Reliable Vehicle
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support

Pre-employment:

• Drug and alcohol testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
• Fitness to Work Assessment

Working Field Foreman/ Dispatcher Qualifications:

• Must be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician HET with Red Seal – Off Road or equivalent
• Must have between five (5) and ten (10) years' Journeyperson experience
• Off Road HDM experience is REQUIRED
• Experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu is REQUIRED
• Experience with CAT Scrapers is Beneficial
• Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
• Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED

Working Field Foreman/ Dispatcher Responsibilities:

• Ensure all equipment is continually maintained at the highest standards, and in a timely manner, resulting in proper function and availability.
• Perform preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance, repair, overhaul, troubleshoot and test mechanical and electronic equipment according to company standards.
• Oversee, supervise, and manage the day to day operations of our heavy equipment technicians in the field.
• Dispatching of 10-12 field heavy equipment technicians and welders to ensure schedules and timelines are met.
• Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure

• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture
