Job summary

Paladin Security Group is seeking a Healthcare Security Guard (Mobile) for The Royal Brockville in Brockville, Ontario. This part-time, temporary role offers on-site work with a pay rate of $19.50 per hour and weekend scheduling (Saturday and Sunday).

The position requires a G license, clean driving record, and the ability to perform demanding security duties including patrols, incident reporting, and potential physical restraints, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Proof of at least two COVID-19 vaccinations.
• Complete immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Hepatitis B, and TB Skin Tests Steps 1 & 2).
• G License with a clean Drivers Abstract
• Must be over the age of 25
• Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check during onboarding.
• Ability to be clean-shaven for mandatory N95 mask fit testing.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform demanding duties for shifts up to 12 hours.
• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB), or willingness to complete training prior to onboarding (training is provided at no cost with a 6-month commitment, requiring travel to Kingston, ON).
• Nice-to-have: 6 or more months of security guard experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to security incidents, using verbal de-escalation and conflict management techniques to maintain a safe environment.
• Investigate routine incidents and complete clear, accurate incident and end-of-shift reports.
• Enforce parking, smoking, site by-laws, and facility policies.
• Perform physical duties when required, including standing or walking for up to 12 hours and assisting with physical restraints.
• Work closely with site staff, hospital personnel, and security management to support daily operations.

What You'll Be Doing
