Paladin Security is seeking a Healthcare Security Guard at Campbellford Memorial Hospital in Campbellford, ON. This full-time, on-site position offers a CAD 20.69/hour pay rate with day shifts (0800–2000).

You will join a small security team reporting to the site Lead Hand and provide professional, customer-service-focused security for patients, staff and visitors. Ideal candidates hold Standard First Aid & CPR Level C, COVID-19 vaccination proof, and MOAB/UoF certifications or complete Paladin

Schedule: Days Only (0800 - 2000)

Overtime Methodology: ON-Averaging Agreement (Overtime paid over 88 hours)

What You'll Be Doing

Working within a small, dedicated security team and reporting directly to the site Lead Hand, you will balance safety management with customer service. Your daily tasks will include:

Delivering professional, customer-service-focused assistance to patients, staff, and members of the public.

Conducting patient watch duties to maintain individual safety and well-being.

Using de-escalation, mediation, and conflict resolution techniques to manage challenging situations.

Responding calmly and taking appropriate action during emergency situations following established hospital procedures.

Programming and managing active access cards.

Maintaining accurate shift logs, notes, and detailed incident reports.

Must Haves

Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double vaccinated).

Copy of Immunization Records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and 2-Step TB Skin Test).

Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).*

Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

*If you do not currently hold UoF and MOAB certifications, you can complete Paladin's training program prior to onboarding. Paladin covers the full cost of this training with a 6-month commitment to the position.

Nice-to-Haves

Minimum 1 year of healthcare security experience.

Ability to communicate in French.
