Job summary

Paladin Security is hiring a Healthcare Security Guard at Lennox & Addington County General Hospital in Napanee, ON, Canada. The position runs Continental Nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) at a rate of $19.00/hour.

You will patrol the hospital, watch patients, respond to incidents, monitor CCTV, and file incident reports with clear documentation. Eligible candidates have healthcare security experience (min 6 months), vaccination records, UoF/MOAB certifications (or willingness to complete Paladin

Qualifications

• MInimum of healthcare security experience (6 months)
• Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and complete immunization records (MMR, Varicella, TB tests)
• Valid Use of Force (UoF) and MOAB certifications, or willingness to complete Paladin's pre-onboarding training
• Ability to stand, sit, and complete extensive patrols for up to 12 hours per shift
• Legal authorization to work in Canada

• Provide dedicated patient watches to support clinical staff and ensure patient safety
• Respond quickly to incidents, applying calm and effective de-escalation techniques

Lennox & Addington County General Hospital provides core general medicine and surgical care to the Napanee community. With expanding specialist clinics and a 24-hour emergency department serving over 26,000 patients annually, the facility offers a safe, dynamic environment focused on quality patient care.

What You'll Be Doing

Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols across the main hospital site and surrounding facilities.

Provide dedicated patient watches to support clinical staff and ensure patient safety.

Respond quickly to incidents, applying calm and effective de-escalation techniques.

Monitor surveillance systems and investigate routine security incidents.

Write clear, detailed, and professional incident reports.

Maintain policy awareness and enforce facility rules, including parking and smoking by-laws.

Must Haves

Minimum of 6 months of healthcare security experience.

Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and complete immunization records (MMR, Varicella, and Step 1 & 2 TB Skin Tests).

Valid Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) certifications, or willingness to complete Paladin's free pre-onboarding training course.

Ability to stand, sit, and complete extensive patrols for up to 12 hours per shift.

Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated.

Legal authorization to work in Canada.
