Salary

$20.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Daily upkeep of the staff residence building, common room, parking lot, and surrounding grounds – cleaning, trash removal and hazard mitigation.
• Maintain outdoor walkways and the common room deck, including snow removal, salt‑mix spreading and removal of hazards/garbage.
• Keep hallways and fire exits clear of obstructions; vacuum and wash floors of hallways, stairwells, laundry, and gym areas.
• Ensure fire safety equipment is up‑to‑date, clearly marked and accessible; report maintenance work orders to the Building Maintenance team.
• Maintain grounds at the icefield operations – trash pickup, upkeep of garbage receptacles, tidy and stocked outdoor washrooms, and clear, hazard‑free walkways.
• Assist with spill clean‑ups as required (staff camp, ice, transfer bays, center, Skywalk) and any other safety/maintenance issues for the Safety Services Coordinator – Recycling.
• Sort and bundle all cardboard and prepare all recycling (staff camp and center). Transport recycling to Jasper recycling centers on a weekly basis.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude by consistently wearing the required property uniform.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Class 5 driver’s licence (unrestricted).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Strong organization and time‑management skills; self‑motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Initiative and high attention to detail, with a passion for making a difference for guests and employees.
• Experience in a custodial or hospitality role is an asset; tourism or hospitality industry experience is an asset.
• Comfortable working in variable weather conditions (snow, rain, wind, hail). Meets the organization’s grooming and appearance standards.
• Consent to a criminal record check in line with the organization’s “Always Honest” policy.
• First‑Aid certification or higher is an asset.
