A regional health authority in Canada is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care. Registered with BC College of Nurses and Midwives and a Basic Life Support certification are required. Candidates should have effective communication skills and the ability to handle stressful situations in a clinical environment.
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of Island Health (Vancouver Island Health Authority), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Under the general supervision of the Care Co-coordinator or the Patient Care Manager, assesses, plans, provides and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards.
Education, Training And Experience
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Basic Life Support, Level C required. Recognized post-basic education required for clinical areas, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. One year's recent related experience.
