Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a store associate to manage customer service functions, including cash handling, cashier supervision and merchandising. You will ensure staff follow policies, train colleagues, and support loss prevention measures while maintaining store image and safety standards.

The role includes assisting customers with product location, handling refunds and exchanges, and promoting customer satisfaction. Experience with cash operations and merchandising is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Managing the customer service functions, including cash, cashiers and merchandising.
• Ensures cashier/merchandising staff comply with all store policies and operating procedures.
• Trains cashiers/merchandisers in job functions.
• Provides on-going guidance and instruction.
• Ensures all loss prevention standards are implemented and manages cash office inventory.
• Answers inquiries regarding location of product, rainchecks, refunds and exchanges.
• Promotes the CSI Survey.
• Ensures shelves are clean and organized with proper rotation.
• Complies with all Health and Safety requirements.
• Performs clerical and banking duties as needed.
