The Opportunity: We’re looking for a Front End Technical Lead to join our Information Technology team. Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, the Technical Lead shapes the technical direction of the team, ensures alignment with architectural standards and engineering best practices, and combines hands-on development with leadership responsibilities across the full software development lifecycle. The Technical Lead mentors team members, resolves complex technical challenges, and fosters a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

What your day looks like:

  • Establish and communicate the technical direction for Front-end software initiatives, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, engineering principles, and business objectives
  • Provide leadership on Front-End best practices through coaching and mentorship
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle, guiding design, implementation, testing, and delivery of software solutions
  • Facilitate design reviews and technical planning to meet performance, scalability, and maintainability goals
  • Coordinate with product leaders, designers, and business partners to clarify requirements, align priorities, and provide timely updates
  • Promote cross-team collaboration and contribute to platform-wide initiatives

Your experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or related field with 10+ years of software development experience
  • 7+ years with Front End Platforms
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a JavaScript/TypeScript developer
  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) and Angular
  • Understanding of Java and/or .NET Core architecture and its integration with front-end applications
  • Experience with Azure cloud, APIM, Dapr, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC/Bicep) is an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of design patterns and software engineering principles
  • Proficient in Git, GitHub/GitLab workflows, and code quality tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven track record in mentoring teams
  • Fluent English is required; bilingual French is an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $120,000 - $130,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
