Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in food service or a related role is preferred.
• English is required for all communications.
• Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and food service standards.
• Availability to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and on‑call.
• Ability to work in a noisy, hot, wet/damp, and outdoor work environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff activities and scheduling to meet daily targets.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
• Train staff in duties, sanitation procedures, and safety standards.
• Hire food service staff as needed to maintain coverage.
• Requisition food, kitchen supplies, and estimate ingredients for meal prep.
• Ensure food and service meet quality control standards.
• Prepare budgets and cost estimates to support planning.
• Address customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
• Prepare and submit reports and food order summaries for the chef.
• Supervise and check assembly and delivery of food trays and trolleys.
