SRS Distribution Inc. in Dartmouth seeks a reliable Moffett Driver to operate a commercial vehicle, transport building materials to customer job sites, and place materials accurately while maintaining safety.

You will perform vehicle checks, ensure load security, and communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries. The role requires a valid DZ/AZ license with Moffet experience, a clean driver’s abstract, and solid math and communication skills.

Formación

• Valid driver’s license (DZ/AZ with a Moffet License) and at least one year of Moffett experience.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tools experience.

Responsabilidades

• Perform circle-checks and complete logbook entries.
• Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and servicing; verify load security and accuracy.
• Report all accidents or injuries and communicate professionally with customers and co-workers.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff; transport loads safely.

Position Purpose:

The Moffett Driver is responsible for the safe operation of a commercial vehicle and the transportation of building materials and the placement on customer job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform circle-checks and complete logbook entries.
• Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and servicing. Verify load security and accuracy. Report all accidents or injuries. Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and other trades on job sites.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed. Transport loads safely following the rules of the road and representing the company to the highest standards. Deliver materials to the assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers. Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license (DZ/AZ with a Moffet License) and a minimum of one year of experience using a Moffett. The driver must also have a clean driver’s abstract.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tool skills. Completion of high school preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Sitting for long periods of time.
• Frequently climbing up and downstairs. Pulling, pushing, bending, and torso twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site.
