Overview

The Financial Services Administrator I (FSAI) provides service excellence and fosters relationship building through product knowledge and exemplary support of the member service team, with minimal member contact. This is accomplished by possessing a positive and adaptable approach, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships both within the organization and externally with member and vendor interactions.

The Financial Services Administrator provides administrative support for document completions and processing for all Account Managers, handles loan related documentation, as well as providing backup for other financial services team members when required, while adhering to all related security, risk, privacy, and compliance procedures and policies.

The FSA I plays an essential role as back-office support on the branch team and is dedicated to supporting our front-line member service staff with an exceptional level of service toward all staff, members, and other business affiliates.

What you’ll be doing
  • Provide knowledgeable member service in various capacities including, but not limited to, opening, modifying, or closing accounts, estate or trust accounts, sale and withdrawal of registered products and term deposits, or safety deposit box information.
  • Maintain, administer, and facilitate broker renewals, registered products, and loan securities for consumer products.
  • Work with all Cascadia Credit Union staff to adopt, implement, and maintain the best practices from established practices, procedures, and policies.
  • Conduct credit investigations and searches as required.
  • Serve, inform, and educate Members with respect to their financial goals and opportunities through the provision of ongoing financial services, Know Your Member annual reviews and other applicable compliance-mandated processes, and/or other Member contact processes, including routine merchant Mastercard inquiries, or refer to Merchant Solutions as required.
  • Process documents received from Account Manager areas, as required.
  • Keep apprised of changing rules and regulations pertaining to relevant legislation requirements, as well as keeping a current knowledge of all CCU lending, and deposit products and services.
  • Resolve problems with member accounts and deposit instruments, input data into computer systems to reflect deposit product changes.
  • Ensure all documentation pertaining to accounts or products and services is prepared and/or executed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain up-to-date and complete Member files with documentation in hardcopy and/or in approved electronic form as required.
  • Provide lending support as needed, including processing, posting, reviewing, and verification of loan applications and related documentation to ensure accuracy in computerized loan systems and manual/digital paperwork completion, or other related tasks providing appropriate documentation preparation, correction, and processing within appropriate relative risk, legislation and/or regulations.
  • Display confidence and exercise sound judgement in decision making.
  • Demonstrate and maintain a high level of risk management knowledge and ensure adherence to all legislative, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Privacy, Money Laundering).
  • Perform additional responsibilities aligned with team goals as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Secondary school diploma
  • Minimum one-year post-secondary formal education, or equivalent
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in financial, retail or hospitality industry
  • Maintain proficiency with developing systems, applications, and productivity programs
  • Combined experience and post-secondary education in the areas that are directly related to industry will be considered
  • Successful completion of in-house training program and CCUA courses on products & services and retail lending, within established time frames

The salary range for this position is $40,270 - $53,693.
