Job description

StartWell is looking for self-driven and confident film editors to work on unscripted video podcasts, direct-to-camera pieces, and multi-format serialized journalistic and narrative-based shows for corporate clients and entertainment purposes.

You will be working on multi-cam content captured at StartWell on King Street West in downtown Toronto — from 3 live stages and 4 closed-set studios.

You must have experience with DaVinci Resolve for color grading where necessary, as well as sound EQ and cutting footage.

The ideal candidate would also handle animated sequences, titles, and custom assemblies for intros, segments, and interstitials, and perform audio sourcing through our catalog subscriptions.

Essentially, you are a multitalented post producer who can work with preproduction and our production team to understand what we\'re trying to achieve in the final cut from the start of every recording, enabling fairly quick edits in a semi-templated workflow for a high volume of content we regularly capture.

You should demonstrate your interest in the job and an understanding of StartWell and why unscripted content is interesting to you, and that you are comfortable with and passionate about doing this work.

Ideally, this would turn into a full-time position as we have substantial post-production work and are considering growing our internal post-production team in 2026.

The ideal candidate would live in downtown Toronto within walking distance of our main campus on King St. West and be excited about interacting in the studio environment with clients, crew, and talent.
