As part of the PNC project, FCC is looking for a Facility Manager - TBM Plant Manager to join our team.

Position Summary
Reports to: Tunnel Construction Manager

The Facility Manager's Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop comprehensive plans for the installation and operation of the TBM and associated facilities.
• Assess spatial requirements and ensure adequate dimensioning of the facilities to accommodate equipment and personnel.
• Identify and evaluate suitable vendors and suppliers for TBM and associated equipment.
• Coordinate procurement processes in compliance with project guidelines and budget constraints.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
• Oversee the installation of TBM and associated equipment according to project specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate with construction teams to facilitate seamless integration of facilities into the project site.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure proper installation and functionality of equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for TBM and associated facilities.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with internal teams and external service providers.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures and breakdowns, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to facility management and equipment operation.
• Implement safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks associated with tunnelling operations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.

Education And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 10 years’ experience in acquiring and maintaining equipment for heavy civil infrastructure similar projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of construction documentation management.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
• Experience with various document control software.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in facility management, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Familiarity with tunneling operations and equipment, particularly Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs), is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and safety standards.
