Specsavers Oakville is hiring Retail Associates (Eyecare Consultants) to deliver exceptional eye care and affordable eyewear. You will guide customers through frame collections and assist first-time contact lens wearers with full training provided.

No optical experience is required; we offer comprehensive training. The role requires evenings and weekend availability and a friendly, confident, service-driven demeanor to build lasting customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is an asset—but not essential.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends is required for this role.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Specsavers is unable to provide support for immigration or permanent residency applications.
• Enthusiasm for learning about frames, lenses, and pre-testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly, creating a friendly and approachable environment in the store.
• Build strong connections by understanding customers’ needs and recommending eyecare solutions.
• Guide customers in selecting frames that suit their lenses and personal style.
• Explain offers, products, and services clearly and confidently to ensure informed choices.
• Perform pre-screening tests such as retinal imaging, pressure checks, and visual field testing (full training provided).
• Measure and adjust frames for a comfortable and precise fit.
• Process orders for prescription glasses and contact lenses accurately and efficiently.
• Schedule follow-up appointments to maintain excellent customer care.
• Act as a proud ambassador for Specsavers, championing our behaviors and values.
