Job summary

Specsavers in Aurora, Ontario is hiring Retail Associates (Eyecare Consultants) to deliver exceptional eye care and affordable eyewear. You will guide customers through frame selections, provide training support, and help first-time contact lens wearers with full training provided.

Evenings and weekend availability is required; no optical experience is necessary as training is provided. Compensation is hourly with benefits and career growth opportunities in a values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Availability to work evenings and weekends is required for this role.
• Passion for delivering WOW moments through exceptional customer service.
• Thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, stay organized under pressure.
• Reliable and flexible to work retail hours.
• Friendly, outgoing, and confident with product recommendations.
• Motivated by long-term customer relationships and Specsavers’ CX model.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset, but not required.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada; immigration support not provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and create an approachable store environment.
• Build connections by understanding needs and recommending eyecare solutions.
• Guide customers in frame selection for lenses and style.
• Explain offers, products, and services clearly.
• Perform pre-screening tests with full training provided.
• Measure and adjust frames for a precise fit.
• Process orders for glasses and contacts accurately.
• Schedule follow-up appointments to maintain care.
• Act as an ambassador for Specsavers and uphold our values.
