Prepare Civil 3D original ground surface or sub-surface models using various sources (i.e., ground surveys, aerial drone data, LiDAR).
Prepare Civil 3D Design Alignments, Profiles, Models, Assemblies and Corridors using criteria supplied by Senior Designers and Project Engineers.
Develop new Sketches, Figures and Construction drawings including Plans, Profiles, Sections and Details.
Generate preliminary and final surface area and volumetric calculations through surface analysis.
Adhere to appropriate company and client standards and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring efficiency and accuracy in quality assurance and control.
Coordinate and delegate design and drafting tasks to junior employees. Perform Quality Assurance on tasks assigned to junior employees or peers.
Carry out and oversee design work under the direction of Senior Designers and Project Engineers.
Assist the design team in scheduling and resourcing design and drafting projects.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to identify alternative solutions.
Report resourcing, scheduling and budget concerns directly to Senior Designers and Project Engineers.
Engineering Design & Drafting Technology Diploma from a recognized community college.
Minimum 3 years relevant AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
Organizational, technical, writing, communication and computer skills.
Experience with Civil Projects (i.e., ponds, ditches, spillways, culverts, diversions, stockpiles, large scale excavations).
Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively in a team environment.
BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
Experience with Autodesk Revit for civil or multidisciplinary coordination
Various additional software experience (Navisworks, Infraworks, Global Mapper, ReCAP, Microstation)
