Long-term Care Assistant

Part-time

Join Golden Life as we expand our seniors housing, care, and services within western Canada. We are seeking qualified Long-term Care Assistants (LTC-A's) to join our team at Columbia Garden Village in Invermere, BC. In this role, you will support our residents and assist the nursing care team, contributing to high-quality senior care. If you're a dedicated team player, we want to hear from you! The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and a passion for caring for seniors.

Responsibilities include:
  • Preparing and cleaning dining areas.
  • Assisting with meal plating and tray delivery for residents in their rooms.
  • Serving food and supporting during meal times.
  • Transporting residents to and from the dining room.
  • Supporting hydration and snack times.
  • Performing housekeeping tasks such as laundry delivery, cleaning spa rooms, making beds, and garbage disposal.
  • Responding to call bells and supporting the care team during busy periods.
  • Answering phones courteously, recording, and distributing messages.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in common areas, washrooms, and entrances.
  • Performing basic maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Providing a Clear Vulnerable Criminal Record Check.
  • Providing Immunization Records, Physician’s Waiver, and negative TB screening.
  • Having a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Having prior experience working with the public and/or seniors.
  • Providing proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
