Dynamics 365 F&O Functional Consultant (Production & Quality) - remote

We are seeking a Dynamics 365 F&O Functional Consultant (Production & Quality) to join our team in Toronto, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA). The ideal candidate will identify, analyze and translate business requirements and processes into D365 F&O solutions, perform fit-gap analysis, and build the Functional Design Documents required for a successful D365 F&O implementation (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions and Workflows).

The Functional Analyst will configure the project and operational environments, support the development team, and provide demos. They will support testing planning and execution to ensure the delivered solutions meet business needs. Strong communication skills and knowledge of functional analyst practices and business acumen are essential. The role collaborates with business partners, analysts, architects, the development team and managers.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand, document, and analyze functional requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into Microsoft D365 F&O solutions, including configuration and design for module integration.
  • Facilitate the implementation and support of Microsoft D365 F&O to enhance business processes while resolving complex situations and handling operational escalations.
  • Identify and conduct required testing, including defining/supporting acceptance testing and gathering feedback from pre-release testers.
  • Participate in each phase of full-cycle Microsoft D365 F&O implementations and organize working sessions with different stakeholders and team members.
  • Provide user training and documentation on specific solutions to ensure effective use of systems.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure effective implementation and integration with other systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&O and related software applications.
  • Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for Microsoft D365 F&O ERP system.
  • Conduct business process analysis and identify key areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and actively resolve incidents, service requests and demand items through the ITSM framework.
  • Configure production parameters, resource groups, routes, and operations.
  • Understand master data elements required in the production and quality modules.
  • Set up quality orders, tests, test variables, and quality associations.
  • Develop test scripts for production and quality scenarios.
  • Understand discrete and process manufacturing workflows, BOM and Route management, and shop floor control.
  • Understand incoming inspection, in-process checks, post-production quality control, handling non-conformances and corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or accounting and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations implementations, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations – Production and Quality module.
  • Proven ability to identify and formalize business needs, convert them into use cases and/or test cases.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are an asset.
