Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Document Control Technician to manage the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) on a construction project, ensuring access control, coding, and distribution of critical drawings and specs to stakeholders.   • Minimum 3 years in document management.
  • Experience in construction and hospital projects is an asset.
  • Experience with EDMS and document classification systems is an asset.
  • Ability to create and maintain document registers and tracking matrices.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, accurate.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Document Control Manager, the Document Control Technician is responsible for applying document management procedures and standards within a construction project while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.

What you will do
  • Administer the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
  • Manage user access rights and permissions

  • Ensure document management processes are properly followed
  • Act as the primary point of contact for users of the document management platform
