Director of Production

Location: Montreal

Position: Full-time | Permanent

Department: Production

Compensation & Benefits: $150,000 – $170,000 + RRSP matching + group insurance + summer hours + on-site parking

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Production to oversee the full product lifecycle post-sale. This role is responsible for driving execution across Fit, Sourcing, Production, Costing, and Compliance to ensure that products are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards.

As a key leader, the Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and lead high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Product Fit & Specifications

• Partner with the Fit & Tech team to develop and approve tech packs, fit standards, grading, and material specifications
• Ensure product consistency, quality, and fit across all styles and collections
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, and Sales to bring creative concepts into production

Sourcing & Vendor Management

• Support the global sourcing strategy to balance cost, quality, and lead times
• Build and manage strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance regularly
• Ensure vendors comply with labor, safety, environmental, and corporate social responsibility standards

Production Oversight

• Oversee the full production process and ensure adherence to timelines
• Collaborate with factories to resolve challenges and meet delivery commitments
• Guarantee that both aesthetic and technical quality standards are achieved

Costing Management

• Manage product costing, identifying opportunities for cost optimization without compromising fit or quality

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all production activities meet regulatory, safety, and environmental standards

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor teams across sourcing, costing, production, fit, and compliance
• Promote innovation, accountability, and operational excellence
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure production aligns with business goals

Strategy & Continuous Improvement

• Provide strategic insights to leadership and recommend process improvements
• Stay ahead of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain competitive advantage
