Job summary

Motion Industries in Canada is seeking a Service Coordinator under general supervision to ensure customer expectations are accurately determined and fully met. You will interact with customers to place orders, gather data from technicians for quotes, and drive profitable pricing within company guidelines.

You will also coordinate scheduling, select cost-effective shipping, expedite backorders, source inventory, and respond to inquiries with quotes and order entry, while focusing on reliability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of related experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Place customer orders by phone, fax, email, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Collect data from Service Technician to quote customers.
• Negotiate sale and purchase prices within parameters to influence gross profit.
• Adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Expedite backorders and prepare orders for shipment to customers.
• Source products from branch inventory, distribution center inventory or supplier inventory.
• Schedule Service Technician's time.
• Determine the most cost‑effective shipping method for orders.
• Handle customer returns when needed.
• Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, and enter orders; more complex inquiries handled with experience.
