Responsibilities

About the role-

The Credit Analyst will be responsible for researching, analyzing credit risks, assessing credit history and approving or denying extension of credit to potential customers (Consumer & Commercial). The analyst will have daily contact with other departments within the corporation, as well as automotive dealers and other finance sources.

  • Analyze credit applications and credit reports to make sound credit decisions in line with company policies and guidelines.
  • Evaluate financial information and maintain/exceed established standards while adhering to all credit procedures.
  • Escalate applications exceeding discretionary limits with detailed recommendations for approval.
  • Conduct reference checks, gather documentation, and prepare comprehensive credit recommendations.
  • Communicate with dealers and internal teams regarding accounts pending credit approval to ensure timely processing.
  • Perform due diligence on all credit applications and clarify policy-related inquiries for peers and clients.
  • Negoti​ate loan terms and conditions with dealers within established approval and exception guidelines.
  • Assess and interpret financial statements to determine creditworthiness and manage risk effectively.
  • Provide professional customer service through inbound and outbound calls related to applications, programs, rates, and residual values.
  • Support positive dealer relationships by delivering accurate information and meeting turnaround times.
Qualifications

Experience
