Job Description

The responsibilities are as follows:

  • Prepares compilation and review engagement files, financial statements and corporate income tax returns for a wide variety of clients
  • Prepares personal income tax returns and trust income tax returns
  • Prepares a variety of Tslips
  • Fulfills a variety of support roles in accounting and bookkeeping for clients
  • Prepares GST and other statutory returns for clients as required
  • Assists with special projects as assigned by partners and managers
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Eligible to enroll or currently enrolled in the CPA program
  • Strong academic record
  • Great work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with both clients and colleagues
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Additional skills
  • Familiarity with accounting and tax software (SAGE, QuickBooks, TaxPrep, CaseWare)
  • Corporate accounting or financial statement experience
  • Corporate tax experience
  • Personal tax experience
  • Bookkeeping experience
