Job summary

Imperial Metal in Canada is looking for a Project Coordinator to support project managers, site supervisors, and field crews. You will help keep projects organized, documented, and executed efficiently from start to finish.

The role requires strong coordination, communication, and administrative skills, with a focus on reading blueprints, maintaining schedules, and ensuring timely procurement and reporting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in structural steel erection and miscellaneous steel installation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with project scheduling and coordination.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents, customer specs, and blueprints to plan activities.
• Identify constraints and suggest solutions to improve site efficiency.
• Attend pull plan and weekly site update meetings; provide customers updates on material status and installation schedules.
• Perform site visits to monitor progress and ensure site readiness.
• Maintain and update project schedules reflecting current timelines.
• Maintain accurate project status logs for stakeholders.
• Assist in pricing and processing change orders and extra work orders with proper documentation.
• Coordinate communication between project managers, field teams, suppliers, and customers.
