Salary: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year.

Job Overview

Wesbell is seeking a Construction Manager in Winnipeg, NB to help establish and grow our new Winnipeg branch. The role involves setting up operations, building crews, and managing staff as the location expands, while overseeing crews in the construction of cellular sites (both tower and rooftop) and ensuring safety, high‑quality work, and overall project profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Bring strong business acumen to help establish and grow the new Winnipeg branch.
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Lead the setup and day‑to‑day operations of the Winnipeg location.
  • Review projects in‑depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Enforce and track budgets.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Select tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Review work progress on a daily basis.
  • Prepare internal and external reports on job status.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and use of proper construction techniques.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a foreman in wireless construction.
  • Proven working experience in construction management.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Leadership and human resources management skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Problem‑solving and problem‑avoidance skills.
  • Management training courses an asset.
Preferred Experience
  • Foreman in wireless construction: 5+ years.
  • Concrete foundation installation: 2+ years.
  • Tower construction: 2+ years.
