Job description

Seeking a full-time Construction Journeyman/Foreman for construction projects at various sites in Edmonton and throughout Alberta.

Role Responsibilities
  • Read drawings and coordinate with outside contractors and engineering teams.
  • Organize and delegate crew tasks.
  • Coach and teach new crew members.
  • Be adaptable, a team player, and responsible.
  • Recognize, address, and resolve crew issues.
  • Apply workplace respect principles on site.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with policies and procedures to maintain quality workmanship.
  • Establish work schedules, keep daily time records, and prepare detailed daily reports on work progress.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily work; periodically reassess goals to meet schedules.
  • Ensure job site safety policies and procedures are followed; oversee safety of all workers and crew members.
  • Complete daily hazard assessments.
  • Conduct daily and weekly safety talks with all employees.
  • Follow all company and OHS guidelines; participate in safety and incident investigations.
Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in ice rink/refrigeration construction is an asset.
  • Pipe fitting experience is an asset.
  • Trade certificate or diploma.
  • Experience with Ammonia Refrigeration, Industrial HVAC, or Refrigeration Construction is a plus.
  • Valid and clean driver’s license.
  • Member of UA 488 or willingness and eligibility to join.
