Work Location: Cigar Lake, SK - flights from Saskatoon, SK only, schedule is 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 11 hrs per working day

Role Description / Key Responsibilities
  • The construction coordinator supports the other members of the construction management team (CMT) with the overall objective of safely and efficiently executing construction work. This is a field‑based role with expectation for regular visits to the construction workface.
  • Coordinate activities between the CMT, engineering team, contractor and operations as required to ensure construction work can proceed efficiently.
  • Support members of the CMT and contractor personnel with the use of digital/computer based systems and mobile field devices.
  • Support the CMT members by logging and tracking action items, keeping digital records and general administrative support as required.
  • Support the CMT members by liaising with engineering personnel to get answers to RFI etc.
  • Conduct a weekly review of construction schedules submitted by contractors and coordinate feedback from discipline superintendents within the CMT.
  • Work with the CMT and contractor to validate claimed schedule progress and raise any discrepancies to the Construction Manager for resolution.
  • Track and, in some cases, calculate construction productivity.
Skills / Previous Experience
  • Prior experience using mobile devices including field tablets.
  • Prior experience in construction considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
