Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide compassionate care to residents in a supportive community. You will follow care plans, observe and report on resident needs, and help document care activities.

The role includes attending trainings and assisting the onboarding of new staff while adhering to IPAC policies. The position focuses on maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment for geriatric residents, with opportunities for career growth within AgeCare’s Ontario

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meets vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meets standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meets standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of sanitation basics and care techniques for geriatric residents.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring resident care as per the care plan by observing residents and reporting findings to supervisor.
• Assists in documenting information pertaining to resident care as directed.
• Attends in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assists in onboarding of new staff as directed.
• Follows IPAC policies and procedures.
