Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. is seeking a Personal Support Worker to assist in monitoring and documenting resident care, participate in training, and support onboarding and IPAC policy adherence. The role emphasizes delivering compassionate bedside care to seniors within a supportive team.

Experience with geriatric residents and sanitation fundamentals will be valued, with opportunities for training and career advancement within AgeCare's multi-site communities in Canada.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meets the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meets the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meets the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents.
• Understanding basics of sanitation and cleaning and geriatric resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring care to residents per care plan by observing and reporting findings to supervisor.
• Assist in documentation related to resident care as directed.
• Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assist in onboarding of new staff as directed.
• Must follow IPAC policies and procedures.
