Huron Tractor in Southern Ontario is seeking a Compact Construction & Turf Equipment Sales Representative to promote the sale of new and used John Deere equipment within a defined sales territory. This role reports to the Branch Manager and emphasizes building strong customer relationships, delivering product demonstrations, and staying current on equipment knowledge to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in equipment sales.
• 2+ years of post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
• Solid understanding of construction or turf industry preferred.
• Ability to build excellent customer relationships.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record; A-Restricted license preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Promote sale of new and used John Deere equipment in the defined territory.
• Assess customer needs and recommend the appropriate product mix.
• Maintain knowledge of products and technology to deliver demonstrations and support.
• Prepare and administer sales contracts following a defined process.
• Leverage financing products to provide flexible options.
• Stay current on used equipment values for trade-in evaluations.
• Create and maintain customer profiles for effective sales management.
• Attend applicable sales training events.

Job Responsibilities

As our Compact Construction & Turf Equipment Sales Representative, you will represent Huron Tractor by promoting the sale of new and used John Deere equipment to current and potential customers in a defined sales territory.

This position reports to the Branch Manager and responsibilities include:

• Sale ofCompact Construction & Turf equipment including but not limited to: SkidSteers, Track Loaders, Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Compact and UtilityTractors, Utility Vehicles, Commercial Mowers, Lawn Mowers, andAttachments.
• Assessment of customer needs to recommend the appropriate mix of products and services.
• Maintain and grow your knowledge of products and technology to deliver impactful demonstrations and ongoing support.
• Prepare and administer sales contracts following a defined sales process.
• Leverage financing products to provide flexible payment options to your customers.
• Stay current on knowledge of used equipment values for proper trade-in evaluations.
• Create and maintain customer profiles to enable effective sales management.
• Attend applicable sales training events.

Skills and Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in equipment sales is required.
• 2+ years of post-secondary education or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Solid understanding of the construction and/or turf industry would be an asset.
• Ability to build excellent customer relationships.
• High energy and a positive attitude are a must.
• Demonstrates initiative and organization to maximize sales on the territory.
• Able to work flexible and extended hours.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Hold a valid A-Restricted Driver’s License or would be willing and able to obtain one.
• Proficient computer and software skills.

Wage Range

• $60,000 - 80,000 per year
• This position includes a draw-against-commission structure with is guaranteed for the first year
• Commission performance is reviewed annually. High performers may receive additional commissions
• Placement within the pay range is based on skills, experience, and qualifications
