Job summary

Huron Tractor in Southern Ontario is seeking licensed agricultural equipment technicians (310T/310S/425A) to diagnose and repair new and used farm equipment, with opportunities to grow in a Deere-partner dealer network.

You will perform maintenance, advise customers, complete reports, and contribute to a collaborative team. Journeyman license and 3–5 years’ experience required; agricultural experience is a plus; wage 34–40 CAD per hour.

Qualifications

Journeyman license in Ag Tech (425A), Heavy Equipment (310T) or Automotive (310S).
3–5 years of licensed journeyman experience.
Agricultural experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Inspect and test equipment, diagnose faults, repair and adjust units.
Perform scheduled maintenance and advise customers on needed repairs.
Complete reports detailing problems and work performed.
Deliver excellent customer service and work well in a team environment.

3–5 years journeyman experience

Strong technical knowledge

Job Responsibilities

This position reports to the Service Manager and is responsible to diagnose and repair all used and new farming equipment by executing the following responsibilities:

Inspect and test equipment, diagnosing faults and malfunctions, repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust units to specifications
Perform scheduled maintenance service, advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Deliver excellent customer service and work well in a team environment

Skills and Qualifications

Currently holds a Journeyman license in Ag Tech (425A), Heavy Equipment (310T) or Automotive (310S)
Has 3 – 5 years of experience as a licensed journeyman
Agricultural experience would be an asset
Strong degree of product and technical knowledge
Ability to utilize and learn new technology, computer proficient – internet, diagnostic programs/computers, etc.
Valid driver\'s license
Flexible to work schedule and extended hours

Wage Range

$34 - $40 per hour
Placement within the wage range is based on the skills, experience, and qualifications listed above
Applicants with more or less experience and qualifications may be placed outside the salary range
