Job summary

Huron Tractor in Ontario is seeking a licensed technician to diagnose and repair used and new small agriculture, turf and compact construction equipment. You will inspect, test faults, repair components, perform maintenance and advise customers on future repairs.

Join a John Deere partner with extensive inventory and a strong customer-service focus. A Journeyman license and 2–4 years' experience are required; valid driver's license and willingness to work extended hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Journeyman license required (Ag Tech, Automotive or Small Engine).
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair new and used small agriculture, turf and compact construction equipment.
• Inspect, test faults, repair/replace components and test to spec.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and advise customers on future repairs.
• Provide excellent customer service and work well in a team.

Job Responsibilities

This position reports to the Service Manager and is responsible to diagnose and repair used and new small agriculture, turf and compact construction equipment by executing the following responsibilities:

• Inspect and test equipment, diagnosing faults and malfunctions, repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust units to specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
• Lawn, garden & small engine repair & maintenance
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed
• Deliver excellent customer service and work well in a team environment

Skills and Qualifications

• Holds a Journeyman license in Ag Tech (425A), Automotive (310S), or Small Engine license
• Has 2 - 4 years of experience
• Strong degree of product and technical knowledge
• Ability to utilize and learn new technology
• Computer proficient – internet, diagnostic programs/computers, etc.
• Valid driver's license
• Flexible to work scheduled and extended hours

Wage Range

• $30-$35 per hour
• The posted range reflects the skills and qualifications listed above
• Candidates with more or less experience, education or knowledge may be considered at a point outside the range
