Job summary

Huron Tractor, a key partner with John Deere in Canada, seeks a Service Technician to diagnose and repair small agriculture, turf and construction equipment. You will inspect, test, and repair units to spec, perform maintenance, and advise customers on future needs.

Role requires licenses, 2–4 years’ experience, and strong product knowledge. You will work in a collaborative team and benefit from extensive John Deere training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Holds a Journeyman license in Ag Tech (425A), Automotive (310S), or Small Engine license.
• Has 2 - 4 years of experience.
• Strong degree of product and technical knowledge.
• Ability to utilize and learn new technology.
• Computer proficient – internet, diagnostic programs/computers, etc.
• Valid driver's license.
• Flexible to work scheduled and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test equipment, diagnosing faults and malfunctions, repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust units to specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
• Lawn, garden & small engine repair & maintenance

This position reports to the Service Manager and is responsible to diagnose and repair used and new small agriculture, turf and compact construction equipment by executing the following responsibilities:

• Inspect and test equipment, diagnosing faults and malfunctions, repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust units to specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
• Lawn, garden & small engine repair & maintenance
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed
• Deliver excellent customer service and work well in a team environment

Wage Range

• $30-$35 per hour
• The posted range reflects the skills and qualifications listed above
• Candidates with more or less experience, education or knowledge may be considered at a point outside the range
