Objective of Position

The successful individual for this role will accurately fabricate hollow metal products to specifications from variety of sources. He/she is expected to work as part of team that is customer focused and thrive in a fast-paced working environment that requires open & effective communication between multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate aluminum / metal products to specifications from fabrication tickets, shop drawings and elevation drawings, including layout, measurement, cutouts, and fabrication.
  • Accurately read tape measures, safely cut aluminum, safely use power tools (saw, grinder, sander, etc.) and hand tools
  • Maintain fabrication and safety equipment
  • Further develop mechanical skills, learn new techniques and remain current with product requirements
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Other projects and duties assigned, including occasional driving of company vehicles for work-related activities.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical apprenticeship would be an advantage.
Qualifications

  • Must have tool experience (saws, grinder, power tools, etc.)
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to work in a team and stand-alone environment.
  • Able to work in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously with interruptions.
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be on time to work each day.
  • Must have valid and clean Class 5 Driver's license.
