Baker Tilly Canada Cooperative is seeking an Accounting Co-op Student to join our Saskatoon-based team. You will assist in financial statement preparation, personal and corporate tax returns, and participate in audits of various organizations, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

This eight-month term offers exposure to a range of services, collaborative work, and opportunities to develop strong accounting and software skills while working in Saskatchewan

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a university co-operative education program.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and an ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, CaseWare, Tax Programs, and Microsoft Office is an asset.

Your role

• Assisting in financial statement preparation of compilations and review engagements for small to medium sized businesses

• Performing other related accounting functions

What you bring to the table

• Must be enrolled in a university co-operative education program
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and an ability to work both independently and in a team
• Experience with computer software such as: Quickbooks Online (QBO), Caseware, Tax Programs (Tax Prep), and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is an asset.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills along with attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop
