Baker Tilly Victoria Ltd. is seeking a Co-Op Staff Accountant to join our team for January 2027–April 2027. You will prepare T1, T3, T4/T5 and T2 returns, assist with compilation engagements, and handle filing tasks as part of a collaborative, team-based environment.

This role offers hands-on tax experience in a friendly office setting with Uptown, Westshore and Sidney locations. The ideal candidate is a second or third‑year business student with strong organization, communication, and

• Second or third-year business student interested in exploring a future career in public practice accounting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Great organization and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional.
• Ability to excel in a high-pressure working environment.
• Experience or desire to work in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing T1 (personal income tax) returns, T3 (trust) returns, T4/T5 summaries and slips, T2 (corporate) returns.
• Preparing compilation engagements.
• Printing and electronic filing of various tax returns.
• Other ad-hoc and administrative duties as required.

Your role:

Where you’ll work:

We are currently hiring for our offices in Uptown, Westshore and Sidney

Job type:

Full time, temporary (January 18, 2027 - April 30th, 2027)

Your schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch. In March and April, hours switch to 8:00am - 5:00pm. Overtime is required during peak times.

Wage:

$24.62/hour
