Baker Tilly Victoria Ltd. in Victoria, BC, is seeking a Co-Op Staff Accountant to gain real-world experience in public practice accounting. You’ll work with a dynamic team on personal, trust, corporate tax returns, compilations, and related filings, building a solid foundation for your career.

This temporary full‑time co-op runs Jan 18, 2027 to Apr 30, 2027, with Monday–Friday hours, and provides exposure to client service, teamwork, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Second or third-year business student exploring public practice accounting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Able to excel in a high‑pressure environment and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing T1 personal income tax returns, T3 trust returns, T4/T5 summaries and slips, T2 corporate returns.
• Preparing compilation engagements
• Printing and electronic filing of various tax returns
• Other ad-hoc and administrative duties as required

Your role:

• Preparing T1 (personal income tax) returns, T3 (trust) returns, T4/T5 summaries and slips, T2 (corporate) returns
• Preparing compilation engagements
• Printing and electronic filing of various tax returns
• Other ad-hoc and administrative duties as required

Where you’ll work:

We are currently hiring for our offices in Uptown, Westshore and Sidney

Job type:

Full time, temporary (January 18, 2027 - April 30th, 2027)

Your schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch. In March and April, hours switch to 8:00am - 5:00pm. Overtime is required during peak times.

Wage: $24.62/hour
